Certified Medication Aide

The Certified Medication Aide (CMA) is a Certified Medication Assistant or LPN who has successfully completed a certified training program approved by the State of Iowa for Medication Administration. (approximately 50 hours)
*Responsibilities*
– Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare providers
– Assist residents with activities of daily living as needed
– Monitor and record vital signs
– Provide care for residents with various medical needs
– Maintain accurate medical documentation using Point Click Care
– Experience with EMR but will train if needed.
-Experience working in a long term care nursing home-will train new grads.
– Ability to accurately administer medications and monitor residents’ health
– Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
