From rebuilding 19th-century Norwegian-built log houses in Northeast Iowa to teaching cabinet and furniture making, Paul Cutting has a passion for carpentry. His latest joy is in creating beautiful midcentury and modern furniture using the same midwestern hardwoods the Norwegian-American settlers used to construct their log houses 200 years ago.
